I have enjoyed returning to the past from all of the information and pictures that have been posted so far. It has taken me a while to get my posting in because this Underwood typewriter that I have from Mrs. Porter's typing class would not do the job. Hopefully this will go through this time.
I was glad to hear that someone else is caring for a lot of pets also. We have seven dogs and four cats that have mostly found us. They are a lot of fun and work.
All of our children are in Texas now. Guy Wesley and family reside in San Marcos. He was in the Navy for 16 years and is a RN. Zack and wife have recently moved to Pampa. He is in the Army and is one of the recruiters for the Panhandle area. Cassie lives in Houston and works in retail clothing for Talbots.
We are wanting to move out of hurricane country to New Mexico. We have been hit with damage from Hurricanes Rita, Humberto, and Ike. Hopefully this season will be calm.
Hope to see everyone in June and I will post some pictures at a later date.

Hello to all! It has been really great to see all the pictures and read the comments....just like we never left. I do hope all are happy, healthy and going strong. I actually have attempted to log in and post a couple of times....who knows where my original post is residing and who is reading it! Glad I finally mastered the correct log in and thanks for the prodding to do so. What wonderful family shots posted! My two kids are pretty camera shy but I will try to dig deep and come up with something. Daughter Mary-Evelyn is 28 and currently a final year vet student at the Univ. of Edinburg, Scotland; undergrad is from A&M. Son Philip just turned 25, took the scenic route at A&M, graduated last May and is now working in Dallas. No grandchildren yet but do have 9 grandpets, if that counts. Gary and I are staring down anniversary number 35 this year and are wondering where all the time has gone. I have to say that I am very impressed with how you guys have put this together and pushed to locate us all. Some I recognize immediately, others I have to look a little harder but I do hope to see you all in June. Thanks for all the sharing!

Freshmen coming soon...
I have our freshman yearbook pages scanned but I'm having trouble uploading them. Will get that figured out in a day or so and post those pages. Boy, we look young to be in high school!
JDM
OK. Well, I know I am not the brightest puppy in the litter, but with Eldo's help here it is.
I hope this finds everyone happy and well. A little catch-up on the past 40 years. This is a banner year for the McCarty family. Janet and I will have been married 25 years in September, Maggie (oldest) will be 21 in June, Mallory (next in line) turned 18 in January, Macey (baby) will be 16 in December and Janet crosses over to the dark side at 50 in December. Does anyone know a banker I can borrower some money from? Maggie is a junior at Texas A&M, Mallory is a senior at Highland Park High School (wantabe Aggie) and Macey is an eighth grader at Highland Park Middle School. No, we didn't intentionally start all of their names with an M, it just happened that way. No luck in promoting the Red Raiders (Macey is likely headed to College Station as well).
I am looking forward to seeing all of you in McLean. Thanks to Gary, Brad and Mike for getting this started. Lots of memories of a great time in my life.

Here's Earnie's blogg
Ok all you tiggers...err Tigers, listen up. My wife is typing this so it says what she is thinking. I can't type worth a darn. Somehow I forgot everything I was taught in typing except how to hit someone's return button when I made a mistake.
I can't believe how old we all are. Ugh...too many gray hairs and wrinkles here. Oops...forgot about senile hair...you know the stuff that forgot to grow in the very wide part on my head! And all the furniture disease! Those chests hanging over the drawers is pathetic! I am slowly sucumbing to half heimers...old timers disease.
I do a lot of thinking about the here after. I walk into a room and wonder..."what am I here after?"
Ok Gary you can get off my back now... I have blogged!

Okay guys, you guilted me into posting these photos. It took a bit of study to figure out how to post to the blog. I’d like to know how many cancer survivors are among us. I had a bone marrow transplant in late 1998, for leukemia. Even though my family is quite large, none of them were a match, so I got Host versus Graft Disease with scleroderma and have been battling it since. With lots of support from my family, I am much better today. Just wondering who else had a strange health problem. Maybe it was all those mosquito sprays the city used to do, or there was something in the water, so let me know if you’re a cancer survivor! I wish I had some old photos to share. I lost my yearbooks long ago, and am afraid I won’t recognize many of you, so please, go ahead and send recent pics too.
