2nd at state!

The Lady Tigers finished second, not bad at all, and a bunch of McLean and former McLean residents were there to see it! The picture above is the team with the state runnerup trophy (one of the top two teams in Texas!).

Regional champs!

In case you haven't heard, the McLean girls are going to state in basketball!

At the regional tournament in Levelland, they came from behind to beat Lorenzo 44-41, and then they upset Happy 74-65 in the regional finals! Happy had three 6-foot girls, and one of them had made seven 3-pointers the day before.

McLean will play Leggett Friday in Austin. The other two teams still playing are Neches and Valley.

Our big trip

Here are a couple of pictures of Kathy and me on our trip to England and Paris. (I don't recommend going in December and January; it was the worst winter in Europe in 30 years! But we had fun anyway).

One picture (the one with the Eiffel Tower, of course) is in Paris on a brutally cold day in January. The other is in Cambridge, England, at the University of Cambridge, on a pretty cold day in December. (My red cap has a Double T on it; it's in the back.)

Not much activity

Boy, I guess I'm not the only one who hasn't looked at this blog in awhile! Well, if anyone's looking, I'm fixing to post a couple of pictures. --Mike H.
